Dr. Banu Şit Köşgeroğlu, graduated from Ankara University Law School in 1995 and she completed LLM (1998) and PhD (2004) at the same Faculty as well. She obtained doctoral degree with the thesis titled “Institutional Arbitration and Recognition and Enforcement of Foreign Arbitral Awards”. Köşgeroğlu published a book on Energy Investment Contracts and Their Protection under International Investment Treaties in 2012 which was submitted as a thesis to be entitled an associate professor. She assumed the title of associate professor in October 2013 subsequently.

Köşgeroğlu’s academic career initiated at Gazi University Law School in 1997 and is proceeding at Hacettepe University Law School. International commercial law, international arbitration, recognition and enforcement of foreign judgments and arbitral awards, protection of foreign direct investments, nationality law, law of foreigners, conflict of laws and international procedural law are some of the fields she has publications on. Köşgeroğlu speaks English fluently.
